The Sheffield Senators are pleased to announce another four signings to the team this year as they welcome Steve Weeks, Eliott Knell, Cam Brownley and Matt Wain to the team.

Steve Weeks is known to the Sens before, having come back from a long hiatus to Captain the team before moving to the Spartans. Steve was keen to get back with the Sens this year and will slot straight into the defence, adding a lot of experience and will be wearing #16 this coming season.

Elliott Knell also joins us from the Spartans, having also played in the EPL and NIHL South over the past few years. Wearing #18, 22 year old Knell will be hoping to put up some good numbers in the league .

Our third announcement is Cam Brownley who joins from the EPL Hull Pirates. Cam has always been held in high regard around the Sheffield setup and will add some extra scoring power to the team. He will be wearing #19 and sponsored for the season by AJELL.

The final announcement is Matt Wain who will have the #4 shirt for the year. Matt played in the Sheffield junior system before taking a few years off and then coming back to play rec hockey. Matt isn’t afraid to put himself about the ice and will give the Sens an extra physical edge.

Coach Andrew Chapman said “We’re delighted to have all four on board for this year. The squad is now taking shape ahead of our opening game at Nottingham this weekend and with the league getting stronger we knew we had to improve also. They each offer something different to us and I know they’re all looking forward to getting their first game under their belt.”

Look out for some further announcements this week with the announcement of the Captain and Assistants for the year and the prospects we have training and playing with the team.
